Radioactive - Imagine Dragons

The ExperienceYou've gone all the way down. You're a wreck. And the nightmare doesn't end: you wake up to the apocalyse. The only thing that could be worse would be checking out permanently. Is there any room for hope? Imagine Dragons thinks there is. Underneath the mess, something's waking up: the new you.

Music Video: The music video has the band locked up in the dark and dust underneath a barn, hoping for a new stuffed animal - yes, I said stuffed animal - to defeat the reigning champ and set them free.

Meaning of Radioactive: We can fall really low, and things can go very wrong. But there's something stronger than anything the world can do to us. Stronger than anything we can do to ourselves. Hope. The sun hasn't died. And if you hold on long enough, it will come out.
Pain hurts, but it can also make us radioactive: someone new, someone we could have never dreamed of becoming if life had been a cakewalk.

Ask Yourself: Where do I hurt? Have I given up, or am I growing through the pain?

LYRICS:

I'm waking up to ash and dust,
I wipe my brow and I sweat my rust,
I'm breathing in, the chemicals, gahh ahhh.
I'm breaking in, shaping up, then checking out on the prison bus.
This is it, the apocalypse, woah.

I'm waking up, I feel it in my bones
Enough to make my systems blow
Welcome to the new age, to the new age.
Welcome to the new age, to the new age.
Woah, woah, (i'm) radioactive, radioactive.
Woah, woah, (i'm) radioactive, radioactive.

I raise my flags, cut my clothes,
It's a revolution I suppose.
We'll paint it red, to fit right in, woah.

Woah, woah, (i'm) radioactive, radioactive

All systems go, sun hasn't died.
Deep in my bones, straight from inside.

I'm waking up, I feel it in my bones
Enough to make my systems glow
Welcome to the new age, to the new age.
Welcome to the new age, to the new age.
Woah, woah, (i'm) radioactive, radioactive.
Woah, woah, (i'm) radioactive, radioactive
