Invisible - Hunter Hayes

www.last.fmby Simon Cleary

The Experience: Right now people might treat you like you're invisible, just because you dare to be different. See you've got a friend. Hold on. Keep on being yourself. And one day all this pain is gonna be invisible.
)

Official Lyric Video: Starting with bullying, different conflicts make people feel (and visually become) invisible to others. [Spoiler warning!] A corny, easy ending would have been the bullies suddenly jumping back, or some new friend offering a hand. It would have been too easy. Hunter Haye's ending is light, making the victims lift up their heads and become visible again. The meaning is there's no easy solution to suffering. But hope is a promise - "one day, all this pain will be invisible."

The Meaning of Hunter Hayes Invisible moves from one Invisible (being shut out) to making pain invisible. Crowds try to make no-one stick out. There's no room for anyone who dares to do something different. And some people won't like you if you don't fit in to their narrow minds. They call you names, give you labels. Their words cut deep, way more than just sticks and stones. Sometimes you feel like just giving in and hiding, being like everyone else in the crowd just so they won't hurt you anymore.
Hold on. Your'e not all alone. You're not invisible. Look around to find someone waving a flag for who you are and all you're gonna do. Trust the one who hopes in you, not the one who labels you. You'll get past this moment stronger. All this pain is gonna be invisible. But more than that, you'll have found a true friend.

Ask Yourself: Am I still daring to be different, to be myself?

LYRICS:
Crowded hallways are the loneliest places
For outcasts and rebels
Or anyone who just dares to be different
And you've been trying for so long
To find out where your place is
But in their narrow minds,
There's no room for anyone
Who dares to do something different
Oh, but listen for a minute

Trust the one
Who's been where you are wishing all it was
Was sticks and stones
Those words cut deep
But they don't mean you're all alone
You're not invisible
Hear me out,
There's so much more to life
Than what you're feeling now
Someday you'll look back on all these days
And all this pain is gonna be... Invisible
Oh, invisible

So your confidence is quiet
To them quiet looks like weakness
But you don't have to fight it
Cause you're strong enough
To win without the war
Every heart has a rhythm,
Let yours beat out so loudly
That everyone can hear it,
Yeah, promise you don't need to hide it anymore
Oh, and never be afraid of doing something different
Dare to be something more

Trust the one
Who's been where you are wishing all it was
Was sticks and stones
Those words cut deep
But they don't mean you're all alone
You're not invisible
Hear me out, there's so much more to life
Than what you're feeling now
Someday you'll look back on all these days
And all this pain is gonna be... Invisible
Oh, invisible

These labels that they give you
Just 'cause they don't understand
If you look past this moment,
You'll see you've got a friend
Waving a flag, for who you are,
And all you're gonna do
Yeah, so here's to you
And here's to anyone who's ever felt invisible

Yeah....
You're not invisible
Hear me out,
There's so much more to life
Than what you're feeling now
Yeah, someday you'll look back on all these days
And all this pain is gonna be...
Invisible
It'll be invisible
