Too Little Too Late - JoJo

The Experience: When the one's we love betray us do we let ourselves be doormats hoping they will change or do we have enough self-respect to stand up for ourselves and draw the line.

Music video: The video shows the hurt JoJo experiences after the man she has given her life to reveals little by little that he is more interested the chase of his own pleasures then in her. The weather in the movie (a growing storm) reflects her own feelings as she goes through the loss of breaking free of her attachment to him and starting anew (as she throws out his jersey, the bear, and their pictures together). This culminates in her cry of pain out in the rain as she throws his things in the trash. But when it is all over the sun comes out again and she is at peace knowing she has made the right choice.

The Meaning: In Too Little Too Late JoJo reminds us that we need to draw the line when we discover that the other person in the relationship is really only interested in getting something out of us rather than giving themselves to us completely in return, with a player like you I don't have a prayerThe other person might be a magician with words you say you dream of my face, but their actions are what tell us the truth. No matter what they might say sometimes it's just too little too late.

Ask yourself: Do I know how to set limits to what is acceptable or not in my own relationships?

LYRICS:

Come with me
Stay the night
You say the words but boy it don't feel right
What do ya expect me to say (You know it's just too little too late)
You take my hand
And you say you've changed
But boy you know your begging don't fool me
Because to you it's just a game (You know it's just too little too late)

So let me on down
'Cause time has made me strong
I'm starting to move on
I'm gonna say this now
Your chance has come and gone
And you know...

It's just too little too late
a little too wrong
And I can't wait
But you know all the right things to say (You know it's just too little too late)
You say you dream of my face
But you don't like me
You just like the chase
To be real
It doesn't matter anyway (You know it's just too little too late)

Yeah yeaaahhh... It's just too little too late... Mhmmm

I was young
And in love
I gave you everything
But it wasn't enough
And now you wanna communicate (You know it's just too little too late)
Go find someone else
In letting you go
I'm loving myself
You got a problem
But don't come asking me for help
'Cause you know...

It's just too little too late
a little too wrong
And I can't wait
But you know all the right things to say (You know it's just too little too late)
You say you dream of my face
But you don't like me
You just like the chase
To be real
It doesn't matter anyway (You know it's just too little too late)

I can love with all of my heart, baby
I know I have so much to give (I have so much to give)
With a player like you I don't have a prayer
That's no way to live
Ohhhh... mmm nooo
It's just too little too late
Yeaahhhh...

It's just too little too late
a little too wrong
And I can't wait
But you know all the right things to say (You know it's just too little too late)
You say you dream of my face
But you don't like me
You just like the chase
To be real
It doesn't matter anyway (You know it's just too little too late)

Yeah
You know it's just too little too late
Oh, I can't wait

It's just too little too late
a little too wrong
And I can't wait
But you know all the right things to say (You know it's just too little too late)
You say you dream of my face
But you don't like me
You just like the chase
To be real
It doesn't matter anyway (You know it's just too little too late)
