Ride - Twenty One Pilots

The Experience: I was told when I get older all my fears would shrink, but now I'm insecure and I care what people think... Do your dreams have to shrink as you grow...

Music video: Twenty One Pilots sing in the woods, alone. With no spectators, they can finally be honest with themselves. And much as they wanna to stay in the sun of their fantasies, they have to face the fact that a lot of the song - a lot of our lives - is darkness where the sun isn't shining yet...

The Meaning of Ride: Twenty One Pilots hits us where it hurts with a very hard question: would you really? Really die for someone? Really live for someone? It's fun to fantasize, but does the real you measure up? It's easy to pretend. It'easy to take a bullet for them when you don't see many bullets are coming through. It's hard to truly be the person you say you are - you know that tonight there are people back home who tied talking to you but you ignored them still. It's hard to be the person you dream of being. Because deep down we all want to be better than who we are. And that's doesn't happen easily.

Ask yourself: Are you capable of facing the reality of who you really are? Or are you just resigned to falling?

LYRICS:

I just wanna stay in the sun where I find
I know it's hard sometimes
Pieces of peace in the sun's peace of mind
I know it's hard sometimes
Yeah, I think about the end just way too much
But it's fun to fantasize
On my enemies I wouldn't wish who I was
But it's fun to fantasize

Oh, oh, I'm falling, so I'm taking my time on my ride
Oh, I'm falling, so I'm taking my time on my ride
Taking my time on my ride

"I'd die for you, " that's easy to say
We have a list of people that we would take
A bullet for them, a bullet for you
A bullet for everybody in this room
But I don't seem to see many bullets coming through
See many bullets coming through
Metaphorically, I'm the man
But literally, I don't know what I'd do
"I'd live for you, " and that's hard to do
Even harder to say when you know it's not true
Even harder to write when you know that tonight
There were people back home who tried talking to you
But then you ignored them still
All these questions they're for real like
Who would you live for?
Who would you die for?
And would you ever kill?

Oh, oh, I'm falling, so I'm taking my time on my ride
Oh, I'm falling, so I'm taking my time on my ride
Taking my time on my ride

I've been thinking too much
I've been thinking too much
I've been thinking too much
I've been thinking too much
(Help me)
I've been thinking too much (I've been thinking too much)
I've been thinking too much (Help me)
I've been thinking too much (I've been thinking too much)
I've been thinking too much

Oh, oh, I'm falling, so I'm taking my time on my ride
Oh, I'm falling, so I'm taking my time
Taking my time on my ride

Oh, oh, I'm falling, so I'm taking my time on my ride
Oh, I'm falling, so I'm taking my time on my

I've been thinking too much
Help me
I've been thinking too much
Help me

I've been thinking too much (I've been thinking too much)
I've been thinking too much (Help me)
I've been thinking too much (I've been thinking too much)
I've been thinking too much
Help me
