Get Into My Car - Echosmith

The Experience: Get into my car. Get into my life... Who will share your life?

Music video: Different people share Uber driver's Sydney Sierota's Fiat Punto as she ferries them around town. Most take the back seat. Some never look past their phone. Some are only worried about where they're going. Some are inconsiderate. And only one actually cars about Sydney behind the wheel. She's caring, patient and considerate, but no one wants to be part of her life - she's always alone when she's at home. Until one of her clients decides to frequent her car, falls in love with her, and invites her into his life.

The Meaning of Get Into My Car: Echosmith describes the life of too many people - lonely in a crowded room. It's a plaintive cry for someone to share their life - get into my life - or even just share the road for a bit - get into my car. But what they really yearn for is someone to love them - get into my heart. They want to live - I just wanna drive. But they can't live without love - so get into my car. Will someone?

Ask yourself: How many people get into your car? How many care about you? How many actually invite you into their lives?

Album: Inside A Dream (2017)

LYRICS:

Been driving all night
It's stuck in my mind
Burning through lights
All I can find
Is lonely in a crowded room
But I don't wanna leave too soon
In case I miss someone like you

They are my goodbyes
I'm done for the night
Saw you outside
And I look in your eyes
Falling in a deep unknown
Getting late, I have to go
I can't leave, I have to know

Get into my car, get into my life
Get into my heart, you know what I like
Can give me something that I don't know how to live without
I don't wanna miss and I can't let this could pass me now

It's taking me up
You're talking me down
Your love is so loud
And it's drowning them out
Voices in my head again
Where you start is where they end
Never gonna wanna let you live, yeah

Get into my car, get into my life
Get into my heart, you know what I like
Can give me something that I don't know how to live without
I don't wanna miss and I can't let this could pass me now

And I, and I, and I've got my head spinning, spinning
And I, and I, and I feel like I've been running
And I, and I, and I've got this feeling, feeling
That you and I, that you and I will just keep driving

Get into my car, get into my life
Get into my heart, you know what I like
Can give me something that I don't know how to live without
I don't wanna miss and I can't let this could pass me now

I just wanna drive
I just wanna drive
I just wanna drive
I just wanna drive, drive, drive

So get into my car
