all the good girls go to hell - Billie Eilish

The Experience: There's nothing left to save now... When your personal despair turns to hatred of everyone and everything...
The Vibe: Bitterness. Rancor.
The Topic: Despair.
The Value: Neediness.
The Tension: Look at you needing me (We need help, need forgiveness and redemptionVS. My God is gonna owe me (But I feel lonely and abandoned so I'll make him pay).

Music video: Billie Eilish isn't a fallen angel. The grisly mutation scenes with Alien-style backbuster wings ripping their way through her flesh and out of her back rules that out: she wasn't supposed to be heavenly and falls out of the sky. But she's no longer human. That's humanity's fault for messing with her in the first place: the syringe-wielding black-rubber-gloved hands returned from bury a friend. So she pulls herself up out of the muck and embraces her true identity as everyone's enemy. Her burnt and blackened wings finally work once they're demon wings. And as the earth burns around her, she finally has company: the good girls who have gone with her to hell, dancing in the flames.

The Meaning of all the good girls go to hell: Billie Eilish's comment on her Youtube channel links the song to climate woes. That call to action links into lyrics pushing the idea God will abandon us if we don't care for the planet: you know I'm not your friend without some greenery and hills burn in California my turn to ignore ya don't say I didn't warn ya. But all good girls go to hell plunges much deeper. Deeper into a conflicted relationship out of control relationship between mankind and God. We abandon God and then ask for help: poisoning themselves now begging for our help, wow! God abandons us: man is such a fool why are we saving him? Religion tries to cover up the rift but fails: Peter should know better your cover up is caving in. We decide to become our own gods. The even God herself has enemies line isn't about the God in heaven; instead, it's about us striking out on our own : once the water starts to rise and Heaven's out of sight. We need allies, and we align ourselves with hell: she'll want the devil on her team. That's dark, but there are three different possible interpretations. 1) My Lucifer is lonely seems to align Billie Eilish with an all out rebellion against God. 2) Billie Eilish is on God's side and thinks a planet-destroying mankind has lost any claim to heaven. 3) Billie Eilish is taking on both heaven and mankind. Heaven has betrayed her and mankind is self-destructive. So she has only one option: join Lucifer in a war of bitterness towards God and vengeance on a suicidal mankind that started the mess. The music video seems to support option 3.

Ask yourself: Is there hope for you?

Album: When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? - 2019

LYRICS:

My Lucifer is lonely

Standing there, killing time
Can't commit to anything but a crime
Peter's on vacation, an open invitation
Animals, evidence
Pearly gates look more like a picket fence
Once you get inside 'em
Got friends but can't invite them

Hills burn in California
My turn to ignore ya
Don't say I didn't warn ya

All the good girls go to hell
'Cause even God herself has enemies
And once the water starts to rise
And Heaven's out of sight
She'll want the Devil on her team

My Lucifer is lonely

Look at you needing me
You know I'm not your friend without some greenery
Walk in wearing fetters
Peter should know better
Your cover up is caving in
Man is such a fool
Why are we saving him?
Poisoning themselves now
Begging for our help, wow!

Hills burn in California
My turn to ignore ya
Don't say I didn't warn ya

All the good girls go to hell
'Cause even God herself has enemies
And once the water starts to rise
And Heaven's out of sight
She'll want the Devil on her team

My Lucifer is lonely
There's nothing left to save now
My God is gonna owe me
There's nothing left to save now

(I cannot do this snowflake)
